HENRIK BLICHMANN's SWING BAND, National Scala, Copenhagen 1937. This band's popular weekly concerts for dancing were broadcast live on national Danish Radio for years. Notice the big radio microphone in the back. Henrik Blichmann, age 22, at the special PH flygel (grand piano); the others, from left: Scherney, Stampe, Louis Nielsen, Jens Balling, Sonne, Carl Poulsen, Borge Hamann, Toft-Hansen.
