About this image

Born into a family of musicians, Ernie Delores (Caldwell) Shelby is a versatile saxophonist, vocalist and composer. Whether she's performing for thousands at the National Association of Black Female Executives in Media & Entertainment’s (NABFEME) International Summit in Toronto, Canada or at Israel CME Women's Gospel Concert in Gary, Indiana, she captivates her audiences with her passionate and witty showmanship. Born into a family tree of well-versed musicians, Ernie Delores (Caldwell) Shelby is a well-versed saxophonist, vocalist and composer. At the tender age of 14, a heckler in the audience named her "Lady Sax"®. And while Lady Sax® is definitely musically blessed and anointed, she is also a business-woman and former ambassador of the Gary Chamber of Commerce.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
