About this image

Koppel & Son (Anders Koppel and Benjamin Koppel) had together with Nordsø Records, the only vinyl pressing plant in Scandinavia invited to a special event at Nordsø Records in Copenhagen. The reason was Anders Koppel's forthcoming 70th year birthday, where a special birthday edition will be published - a triple LP with Anders Koppel. The last LP was recorded this afternoon in front of a selected audience at Nordsø Records. Koppel and Son had company of Swedish drummer Peter Nilsson. In the near future Nordsø Records will be able to offer recording "Direct to Disc" It gives a special mood for a recording session when the audience is present at the recording. The audience has to be more silent than at a normal concert. It makes them listen in a whole different way- they concentrate more on music. Anders Koppel, Benjamin Koppel and Peter Nilsson gave their audience an enriching musical experience - a wonderful musical memory to take home - and when they will listen to this album in the future - this album will be something special for them - because they were there when it was made.

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
