DEMI-SEQ's first album, By Nature, consists of nine compositions by pianist Addy Scheele. His music explores adventurous areas between jazz, pop, salsa and electronics. Melodious rich material with abundant space for improvisation on poppy and latin grooves. Addy Scheele is a professional pianist, composer, arranger and producer. In his own studio in Groningen, Holland, he performs a wide range of activities including film scores, theater music and CD production for various artists. Hans Lass was born in Hamburg, Germany. Since his graduation from the Prins Claus Conservatory he has become a known and respected double-bass player in jazz clubs and venues in and around Groningen. As a student he played with musicians like: Mike Stern, John Scofield, Leonardo Amuedo and Philip Catharine. He completed post graduate studies at the conservatory in The Hague with Hein van de Geyn. Sax player Gerlo Hesselink played with numerous different groupes and bigbands like the Dual City Concert Band, Get The Funk, Millennium Jazz Orchestra, JazzArt, De Ramblers and DEMI-SEQ. Thus he played with well known soloist's as: Toots Thielemans, Benny Golson, Randy Brecker and Deborah Brown. Dennis Elderman is a professional drummer who feels equally at ease playing pop music as well as jazz. He graduated from the Prins Claus Conservatory in Groningen at the remarkably young age of 21. Among his teachers were Owen Hart and Ralph Peterson.
